10th Annual Pink Crocodile Charity Tennis Tournament
your best alternative to the Czech Opens
For the 10th time, tennis lovers across Prague spent several arduous hours on the courts, perfecting their serves and volleys – all for a shot at taking home the prestigious Pink Crocodile Annual Charity Tennis Tournament trophy. This year’s tournament, which took place on the 6th of September at the beautiful Pála Vízner Tennis Club in Prague 6, brought together 16 well-trained teams of men and women doubles. The tournament also welcomed several talented young singles payers players between the ages of 6-15 years competing in the new Junior Division.
After a full day of ferocious matches, Dominik Süč and Warren Kinder from the team Lions Club Heraldic (claimed the 1st place trophy, edging out Richard James with Jan Vacek from team BAM BU DAH(2nd place). Our players from team PSN, Sebastian and Ondrej Herman again grabbed a trophy (3rd place). The best all-women’s team consisting of Dana Mitchell and Hana Krejci came in 4th place. The top three players among the Junior Division were Daniel Kraft (1st place -11 years), Jakub Kyncl (2nd place – 6 years) and Tomáš Hampl (3rd place – 11 years). Congratulations to our winners and to all of our players who set aside this day to support children in need.
“What a great turnout”, said Miško Mišković, Managing Partner at Karlin Port Real Estate, Supervisory Board Member of Pink Crocodile and veteran tournament participant, “During these times, the participation has exceeded our expectations and it just shows what a great event this annual tennis cup is. Our goal for next year is to get even more sponsors and players involved.”
“We owe a huge thank you to our numerous sponsors,” declared Pink Crocodile’s board member Ulrike Michel-Schneider. “From the tremendous support of REDEVCO and PRE, as well as Karlin Port Real Estate, PSN, Stavební Interiérové Systémy, Lions Club Heraldic, Celio and Purum, Discovery Group, Evo Jet and our IT Support from Zite Media, as well as for culinary delights and prizes from Poke House, Smetana Hotel, Bellevue and Redbull, we are able to make sizable donations to the two projects we support.” Overall, the event helped fundraise in excess of 700.000 CZK, which will go towards the construction of the new school building of Základní škola speciální Neratov as well as towards the Pink Crocodile educational fund for children supported by DEJME DĚTEM ŠANCI.
